Tips for Packing Like a Pro:

•  Develop a ‘packing to do’ list
•  Get rid of! – garage sale, dump, recycle, charity
•  Pack similar items together – toys with toys, dishes with dishes
•  Decide which items you want to move yourself – breakable valuables, must haves thru the move
•  Don’t pack too loose or too tight
•  Wrap each item separately, and pad the sides and bottom of the boxes
•  Label every box clearly and on all sides
•  Use color coded labels for each room
•  Keep important info with you – driver’s name and phone #, anyone else’s phone # that is important, realtor’s contact info, house keys and codes
•  Inspect each and every box as it arrives – too late might be too late.  Also, keep a record of # of boxes in total and per room
